History
Annually organized by the students of St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai, India, Malhar is a prominent event that commenced in 1979. The festival embraces an array of cultural competitions spanning literary, performing arts, and fine arts categories. Moreover, it features an assortment of workshops centered around diverse themes.
The festival is orchestrated and executed entirely by a dedicated team, encompassing 130 volunteers and 1200 individuals on the organizing committee. However, owing to the disruptions caused by the Covid-19 lockdowns, Malhar regrettably canceled its 2020 edition.
In 2021, the festival adapted to the circumstances and took the form of a condensed one-day online event.

Malhar Fest 2023 Theme
The theme for Malhar 2023 is “Eye of the Storm,” highlighting how we handle both calm and chaotic moments in life.
This year’s festival includes activities like discussions, learning sessions, live performances, and popular freestyle and street dance competitions.

5 AP Dhillon In Mumbai Malhar Fest 2023
AP Dhillon, the Indo-Canadian singer, and rapper, delivered a dazzling performance that ignited the stage at a college.
The duo put on an amazing show that had the crowd hooked. They played popular tracks like ‘Brown Munde’, ‘Insane’, ‘True Story’, and ‘Excuses’.
During his performance, Dhillon sang his new song ‘With You’, and to everyone’s joy, he jumped into the crowd, keeping the energy high.
AP also told the audience about his upcoming docuseries on Amazon Prime Video called ‘AP Dhillon: First Of A Kind’. This series will uncover more about him, the guy behind hit songs like ‘Brown Munde’, ‘Fake’, and ‘Excuses’.

The four-part series reveals the journey of Amritpal Singh Dhillon from Gurdaspur to Canada, where he became a global music star. It’s produced by PASSION Pictures with Wild Sheep Content and Run-Up Records. The series shows the hard work and glitz that led AP to his current fame.
